Day #7 - January 10, 2010 - Buyer beware!

So, like I said in the previous post, we made a trip to Costo on Saturday. We love going to Costco! Last week John had told me about this "batter in a can." I thought it was cool, but didn't pay too much attention because I love my bisquick! :) But, while we were at Costo, John found the "batter in a can" he had been talking about. I finally agreed to letting him get it, even though, because it's at Costco, it came in a package of 3. Like we really need 3 cans of this pancake batter! ha! But, it was only $5, so what the heck. So, Sunday morning we decided to try this new concoction for breakfast. John was fascinated by the idea of it, so he went and got out the waffle maker and squirted it inside. After a few minutes, the waffle maker flashed ready and we were ready to try our new, easy to make waffles.... BLAH!!! They were beyond disgusting; hard to cut like rubber and tasted sour. I thought our syrup had gone bad because there was no way waffles could taste this bad, but no, not the syrup, it was the waffles! John tolerated it, but I knew when he only finished half of his serving, he wasn't pleased either. We now have 2 1/2 cans of this stuff that will thrown in the garbage. So, buyer beware! Don't waste your money on this stuff, stick with the good ol' bisquick! :P

Hahaha, you should have known when you say it says "Organic" on the can to stay away from it!
