Friday night, John and I went and got ourselves new bikes (we also got tennis rackets, but that post to come another day!) We rode Saturday and went again on Sunday and this is me, helmet and all! :) I went on a 12 mile bike ride on Sunday. We went earlier in the morning so it was MUCH easier than in the middle of the day Texas heat!
Saturday afternoon we went on a 7 mile bike ride at the park by our house and afterwards I went and jumped in the neighborhood pool and it felt amazing. It was exactly what I needed after riding for 2 hours in the scorching heat!
Friday was the last day of school for me for a week! If I hadn't signed up for summer school it would have been the last day for 2 months... :( But, I did get a week off - pictures to come :) Anyway, no picture related to that, just a happy picture in honor of the last day of work!
My favorite summer treat: SnoCones! Snocones are something you find on every corner in the DFW area, but not in Houston. When I moved to Houston I was deprived until I found MAM's House of Ice recently in The Heights! This place compares to my favorite place in Ft. Worth and might even be better. This particular one I got is wedding cake flavor with condensed milk! YUMMMMM
Sunday was spent sleeping late and doing nothing... We were exhausted from a long wedding weekend. I think the only thing I did was take a picture of our pictures from the photobooth :) I've been seeing this new trend for a while and always thought it wouldn't be worth the money. But, after attending this wedding with a photobooth, it is oh so worth it! After seeing all the guests have fun with it and the funny pictures that everyone came out with, it is a must have at all weddings! I just loved what we got out of it!
Saturday we attended Kevin and Summer's wedding and had a blast dancing at the reception! Everything was set up beautifully at the reception and I have some great pictures which I'm sure a lot of you reading this saw on facebook :) I did catch the bouquet ;) and Dan caught the garter. John says that b/c he didn't catch the garter it cancels out that I caught the bouquet... Sure it does! ;) Maybe one day.........
John was the best man in Kevin and Summer's wedding this weekend. Friday night we attended the rehearsal and then the rehearsal dinner at Canyon Cafe. The food was very good, so good John wanted to go back the next weekend ;) Anyway this pic is of me and John at the dinner.
We finally got the house back in order after adding all of my junk from my apt. John has decided he likes my bed better so we've been sleeping in there. The kitties seem to like it too. Both were in bed with us watchin' TV!
I know you can say it, crazy cat lady. :)
I took the ugly picture the day before and decided to take an actual nice picture for this day. :) Apparently, these plants can't be killed! ;) I think John and I will plant these all the way around for some nice PINK color!
This Sunday we went to Sarah and Matt's engagement party. And of course, yet again, I didn't take a picture of the actually exciting part of our day. Instead I'm leaving you with an ugly picture of our dead flowers :( There's one lone red flower that blooms occasionally but that's about it. I talked about our flower beds here and of course very few of that is actually living still.
I wish I would have taken a picture of the mess of a house we were living in for several days after the big official move in to John's house from my apt. But instead, I will leave you with another picture of Cotton. Cotton loves this window and as soon as we put the bed upstairs under the window, both cats are up there constantly peeking out at the neighbors ;)
