Thanksgiving Memories! 

I honestly can't remember 1 particular Thanksgiving that stands out the most. I just love being with my family for the whole weekend.

So today...

Fall Travel/Road Trips!

Due to me working in the school district, the only traveling we do in the fall is either to a city for a football game or to Ft. Worth to see my family. Those are short weekend trips where I don't have to miss work. 

We've been to Lubbock multiple times....

 
to see the Texas Tech boys play on this field...

And this is about the only interesting thing to see on the 8 hour drive...

We've also been to College Station to see the boys beat up on A&M...

I'm saving the rest of our football pictures for tomorrow's topic :)

So today...

Fall Recipes! 

I'm not really sure what's considered a "fall recipe" but I'll share a soup I love to make for those chilly fall nights :) 

Tortilla Soup! 

30 oz green chili enchilada sauce

                                                                                 32 oz chicken broth

1 can rotel

1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts

1/2 lb bag frozen corn

1 can black beans (about 15 oz)

Put the 1st 3 ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil

Add the chicken breast

Cook until chicken is done and then shred

Add shredded chicken, corn and beans to broth

Cook for another 10-15 minutes

Enjoy! :-P

Ok, I live in Houston. What do you think I'm looking forward to? 

I am SO sick of these temps...

Yes, it was 100 degrees yesterday. 

I'm ready for the fall temps. Unfortunately that doesn't happen until at least November here in Houston. 

And with the fall temps means I FINALLY get to wear all the fall fashion I posted about a few days ago :)
