The Final Days of New York

The last few days we were in New York were spent with John's family. Christmas Eve morning John's dad picked us up at our hotel and we visited family friends, his nannie and then went to his cousins house where we had Christmas with all of his dad's family.

We got some super fab Christmas gifts but the best things of all were the sweet engagement gifts and cards that came pouring in from all of his aunts and cousin.

We got a gorgeous crystal candy dish that I already have sitting out on our shelf and this beautiful Christmas angel his aunt got us so we would always remember our engagement happened at Christmas when we pull it out every year. We also got a really pretty crystal candle stick and 2 champagne toasting flutes that I can't wait to use!

Seriously, we weren't expecting that at all!!

We spent the night at John's aunt and uncles that night and had a fabulous homemade breakfast of blueberry pancakes, bacon and omelets Christmas morning.

Christmas Day we went to John's grandparents house then had dinner at his aunt and uncles house.

That night we stayed at John's nannie's house, played some monopoly, watched some football and enjoyed time with his family.

The next day we packed up, went for lunch at a New York Deli and then John's dad took us to the airport.

We made sure to get to the airport extra early so we wouldn't have a repeat of Wednesday and we were bored so we played some more monopoly and devoured the rainbow cookies that Vicki brought us from Brooklyn.

We had an amazing time in New York. We got to see the city at Christmas, see all of John's family for the first time in 2 years, and celebrate our engagement!

I am so lucky :)
