Wedding Wednesday - Engagement Pics!
For those of you who don't know, John and I had our first date at the zoo!
So what's better than taking our engagement pictures at the Houston Zoo where it all started???
It seems like EVERYONE in Houston takes their engagement pictures at Hermann Park or Discovery Green and I want something different. Something that fits as as a couple. I don't want that same colored wall that everyone has in their engagement pictures. I want giraffes, elephants, greenery. DIFFERENT!
I've searched Pinterest and the interwebs and found these CUTE pictures as Zoo Engagement inspiration.
The last 2 were actually taken right here in Houston at our zoo and we will for sure be recreating some of these shots!
I've already called upon Emily who took our Christmas pics and can't wait to see what she can pull off for us!

I love love love engagement pictures! I'm sad we didn't get a bit more creative on ours, but I am still quite happy with the way they turned out. I think pictures at the zoo will be lovely!
Yay! I can't wait to see your pictures! We didn't get engagement pictures (our engagement was too short to fit that in- 3 months) and I always regretted it, so we got them on our 2-year anniversary. I love looking at other peoples cute lovey dovey pictures :-)

My hubby and I took ours where they do horse races (think Churchill Downs). It is a huge thing where we live and very much "our" city kind of thing.
Oh I love E pics! These are so pin and I love the zoo idea. Cute!!! We sadly didnt take e pics. Oh well though. We have many family sessions ahead of us.

Very cute idea! We just had my (then future) MIL take our photos in her house. Yeah, considering how big I am on photos I would definitely do a redo if I could.

I love the Zoo! I've been several times in the last few years for photography events (animals, not people though!). Can't wait to see how they come out.
I love the idea of taking them at the zoo! We had our engagement pictures taken at the park where we always went and it was where Dylan proposed. They're going to be beautiful!
I LOVE your ideas for your engagement pics!!! I have seen SO many at the zoo/discovery green but those photos have SO much more character and are unique. so beautiful, I cannot wait to see!

We took ours in Kerrville and I love them.
So cute! We actually didn't take any engagement photos. We had a free session included with our photographer, but they were posed studio shots and I knew I always look horrible, so I traded them for something else. Something I probably never got because we had a huge falling out with them after our photos were a bust.
We talked about hiring a friend of a friend, but in the end it just didn't work out. I don't really regret it though b/c we had already wasted so much money on the wedding photographer.
So sweet! My bf and I had our first date at the zoo too!! Except it was the DC zoo haha

Fabulous photos! So fun :) We took our engagement pics all around San Diego before we moved to MN. Our whole relationship started there and our daughter was born there so it meant a lot to be able to take our engagement photos there before we moved :) Love your blog!
