Yesterday marked 8 months until we say I do!
Things on the agenda for this month:
~Schedule our next premartial session at the church with the wedding director
*we had our first one on Saturday and it went really well! The next one we'll go over our "test" we took :)
~Schedule a meeting with the Deacon doing our church ceremony to go over our ceremony readings and vows
*We're having a very very small church ceremony to do the Catholic/Legal thing in the states before we leave
~Shop for a white dress for our church ceremony
*I'm thinking short and lace with my teal wedding shoes ;)
~Schedule my first dress fitting
*They told me I have to do this very far in advance or they book up! CRAZY!
~Ask John's groomsmen to be in the wedding
*yes he still hasn't done this
~Shop for John's suit
*We're thinking a tan suit, whit shirt and pink/teal tie
~Shop for the groomsmens ties
*they will match John's tie and will be part of their groomsmen gifts
~Decide on shower/bachelorette party dates
*this is tough because all 3 of my bridesmaids live out of town. We're going to do a Mexican Fiesta theme for the couples shower ;) Margaritas included!
~Start working on the must play song list for the DJ
*this is gradually getting done little by little
~Start thinking about all the extra music we need for the ceremony and reception
*I'm going completely non-traditional on the ceremony music. No Canon in D or Wedding March for me ;)
And the biggest thing...
~Decide on our invitations!
*I haven't been able to find one that I'm truly in love with so I have a feeling after searching Etsy I'll end up having one designed mixing and matching different things that I like.
I am SO ready for the next 8 months to fly by so I can marry my best friend!!

Oh wow, just a few more months to go till the big "I do". Have fun with all the wedding planning. I will start planning my wedding by January 2013. Our big day is on the 10th of August 2013. =)
