5 Years of Nursing, continued...

(Read about our pinning ceremony here)

After our last final we went out on the town to celebrate...

We started with lunch and cocoritas at a local Mexican food restaurant and ended up in Rice Village at Two Rows. Luckily us girls had a hotel room for the night ;)

Then Saturday was finally the day we had waited for, Graduation!
Even though my school was in Houston, we got to go to the TWU main campus in Denton to graduate. I was SO happy about this because I spent 2 years doing my basics for nursing at the Denton campus and Denton is only 20 minutes away from my family so they all got to come!

And now I've been in the "Big girl" nursing world for 5 years. I'll be the first to admit that there are days when I doubt the career I chose. It's stressful. It's hard. But I didn't spend 5 years in school working my ass off for no reason. I love helping people and I do just that every single day.

Congratulations on 5 years! I think nurses truly are the most caring, and patient people of all!

It is awesome that you have these achievements! I know that nursing school is not an easy task! I am also wondering if this hotel night was spent jammin' out??!!?

I think we all at times doubt our career moves (even if we mostly LOVE our jobs) but you're so right; 5 years of hard work in school is def worth it!
