This week is Nurses week and today is the day specially saved for us school nurses!
A lot of nurses think that us school nurses have it easy. The schedule is pretty dang nice, but we definitely have our hands full with vision, hearing, scoliosis, and acanthosis screenings, picking lice out of hair, tube feedings, catheterizations, ARD meetings, and everything else we deal with on a daily basis. We're counselors, educators, case managers, and in some cases, the only health provider for some of our kiddos.
Make sure y'all hug and say thank you to a nurse this week!!!
