A long time coming right?? It's been 2 weeks since vacation and I'm just now getting around to posting the pics!
We had so much fun on our 8 day road trip to New Orleans and Gulf Shores.
Just sharing New Orleans today!
We left early Friday afternoon and arrived in New Orleans around 7 Friday night.
Anyway, we checked in to our hotel in the French Quarter, changed, and went to dinner at the Gumbo Shop. YUMMMM!!! I had red beans and rice and I also had boudin for the first time and surprisingly really liked it!
After Bourbon Street we went down to the French Market and walked around.

After dinner we had beignets at the famous Cafe Du Monde. Honestly, I didn't enjoy them that much. I think I was just so full from dinner!! John loved them though!
And then we of course walked down Bourbon Street...
This was definitely an experience! I could for sure go for one of those hand grenades again!!
Then we went to Harrah's and managed to lose nearly $100 in a very short amount of time!
The next morning we went to Mother's for Breakfast. It was SO good.
After breakfast we walked around more and went back to Bourbon Street and I got a pina colada and John got his Huge Ass Beer :)
After Bourbon Street we went down to the French Market and walked around.
And John got tricked into get his shoes shined...
And then we were off to Gulf Shores!

I love me some New Orleans! My parents took me there for my 21st birthday, and it was quite the experience. Mardi Gras is even better!

PLEASE tell me you went to Central Grocery for the muffaletta! We went there once on our trip and OH MA GA! But then it was closed the next time we tried to go, so we got one down the street and it was absolutely disgusting!
Wasn't Jackson Square just so perfect!?! I loved all the artists in there, and the carriages! We bought a cute little painting from one of the artists and it's the best souvenir! Now we always try to buy a small piece of art every trip we take. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!
Of course I LOVE Mississippi and I adore Gulf Shores! :)
