All of our guests have come and gone from Mexico, so I wanted to share something special that we put together for everyone welcoming them to Mexico and our wedding weekend.
I knew when we decided on a destination wedding that we HAD to have out of town bags (OOT bags). It was a must to give our guests a small token of our appreciation for traveling all the way to Mexico to see us get married. I was really pleased with everything we came up with and how it all turned out so of course, y'all get to see too :)
One of my favorite things. These were perfect for the destination and something the guests could use around the resort. And they were very cheap for them being personalized. I ordered them from Wedding Chicks.
My second favorite thing. We are always looking for and using koozies in our house so I knew this was something people would use at the resort and once they returned home. We ordered them from Totally Wedding Koozies. I would highly recommend!! Great service, fast shipping and great product!
This was our biggest expense in the bags but I think they are going to be so worth it. All Inclusive resorts use those small plastic cups so these were something the guests could use at the resort plus take home with them. I didn't want to personalize these so people would be more likely to use them once they returned home. I ordered these from the Bubbakeg website. If you place a large order you get a discount so these weren't as costly as just going to Walmart and buying them. We ordered them in pink and blue. I also have to say I was pretty proud of myself on the cute little tag hanging from them ;)
WEDDING WEEK SURVIVAL KIT
These small bags consisted of hand sanitizer, sun screen, aloe vera gel, chapstick, bandaids, tylenol, and pepto bismol. I made the little tags in Word from a template I found online, printed them on cardstock, and stapled them on a ziplock baggy.
OTHER SMALL DETAILS
We also added in sudoku, word finds and crossword puzzle books. I got all of these for $1 at Dollar Tree. I included pens in each bag just incase. The flip flop in the picture is a deck or cards. I ordered them from Oriental Trading for less than $1 each. There was also a pack of Kleenex included just incase. I got those at Target.
One of my biggest headaches DIY wise! But, I'm so glad I finished these and included them with the wedding. I love the way they turned out and have a nice personal touch! This is a picture of the front and back of one of them!
I needed to add something in the bag that would give guests all of our info and the info for the weekend. I created the document in Microsoft Publisher and was super happy with how it came out. I took pictures of all the pages so y'all could see everything I included.
Of course we aren't back from Mexico yet and this is a scheduled post, so I can't really say if there is anything I would do differently, but I am super pumped about the bags. I really hope that each wedding guest enjoys all the thought and time John and I both put into these. I am so happy with how they all turned out. It's so awesome to see all your thoughts and ideas come to life. I had been planning these bags since we booked our wedding date in January so finally finishing them up was very exciting for me! I will be back soon to share wedding pictures!!!! :)
