Wedding Wednesday - I Said Yes to a Dress!

So during Spring Break, my mom, sister and Grannie came in to town and we spent 2 whole days wedding dress shopping! 

I was not the girl who tried on a few dresses and KNEW which one I wanted. I think I tried on about 40 dresses and re-tried on dresses and was still torn. I got it narrowed down to 2 and then price played a big factor in my final choice. I am SO happy with the choice I made and I can't wait for y'all to see it when we get back from Mexico in less than 9 months! :)

Our first trip was to Alfred Angelo where John's mom and 2 sisters met us to also try on bridesmaid dresses. We ended up picking a different bridesmaid dress after they started trying stuff on. We are going with the brown dress in the teal color...

It matches my wedding shoes I picked EXACTLY (which I will share with y'all another day) so I'm glad we ended up changing and going with a different color. The dress is super cute on all the girls and has a lot more coverage. The back has a circle cut out which is SO cute but I can't find  pic of it anywhere!

And now for all the dresses I said no to...

I actually really liked this one. This was my #1 pick from Alfred Angelo and I *almost* bought it. I decided I wanted to visit the other places first before making a decision and I'm glad I did! 

I actually liked this one on but after seeing the pic of me in it, it was out...

And this one is just comical. Grannie said it looked "floosy" 

The next day we started bright and early at Ventura's. I have to say, this place had the best customer service of all the places and my consultant, Penny, was amazing! 

And they by far had the best dresses...

I was torn between 2 dresses at Ventura's so we ate lunch to talk and think and decided to go ahead and go to our appointment at David's Bridals. 

We were there for probably less than 1 hour. I tried a few dresses and realized none of them were living up to the 2 dresses at Ventura's. 

This one was the only one that came remotely close to anything I wanted...

So we went back to Ventura's and Penny put me back in the 2 dresses I was torn over and after some deep deliberation, I said Yes to a dress!! 

I got to ring a little bell! :) 

And after December 17th, you'll get to see what's under the pink box!!!

YeeHaw - Rodeo Time!

The Houston Rodeo is one of the best and biggest there is and everyone needs to experience it at least once in their life! I've been every year since I moved to Houston and it's just so much fun. 

I was lucky and go to go twice this year. 

My first trip, I went with 2 of my school nurse friends...
