Cancun: The Day Before, Day 1 and Day 2

Well, I'm back with some pictures!!

I've been debating on how to share everything with y'all from all the days of the trip, to the professional photos, to my take on a destination wedding...

I decided to share all the days of the trip with a little recap and pictures for the next few days and I'll start sharing the professional pics for Wedding Wednesdays! I also plan on doing a little review of the resort and a destination wedding as a whole just incase any of you are wondering about that.

So today I'm going to start with the day before we left and the first 2 days of our trip in Mexico, Thursday and Friday!

Wednesday was last minute preparations and packing and when John got home from work I made him go get a pedicure with me. He was not a fan ;)

I got a shellac french mani so it would stay on the whole trip.

And for my pedicure I chose a hot pink. Funny thing is, I looked on the bottom at the name and it was "Cancun Fiesta." Perfect if I do say so myself!

Wednesday night I hardly slept and we were up bright and early to get all our bags together and downstairs and ready for the car to pick us up at 7am. We ended up having 4 suitcases, 2 carry on bags and a wedding dress!

We made it to the airport with plenty of time and met my family who had flew in to Houston from DFW and were on the same flight to Cancun as us.

We got these shirts to wear from at Etsy shop called Foultshirts. They were so great for us to wear to the airport, even though they were cheesy :)

Unfortunately, I have very few pictures from Thursday. We took the 20 minute ride from airport to the hotel, got checked in (and upgraded to the master suite!) then started unpacking and getting things together for the wedding. We stayed in the room most of the day with lots of visitors stopping by to help us! It was so fun to start to see everyone arriving and coming by to see us!

For dinner we decided to get everyone together that was already there and meet in the Lobby Bar for drinks and then head to the buffet for dinner.

After dinner, there was a fire and drum show on the steps of the lobby. It was pretty cool and was nice to have some entertainment there!

We had plenty of drinks ;)

Dan and Maria's room was right down the hall from us and we got back to their room that night and their room got honeymooned!

They put a letter in your room every night and our name was on there!

Friday morning I was SO excited about the rest of our guests arriving and the meeting with the wedding coordinator, I couldn't sleep! I was wide awake at 6am and decided to open all the blinds in our room to watch the sunrise.

We put on our robes and ordered room service for breakfast and ate it out on our balcony.

Since I didn't take pictures of our room or view the day before when we arrived, I made up for it on Friday!

Our room got "honeymooned" the night before also!

Our room was perfect since we had so many guests coming in and out and for getting ready the day of the wedding!

Friday we were supposed to meet with the wedding coordinator at 10am so we packed all the wedding stuff and went to the wedding office. She was late so we went to the lobby and had some mimosas.

The meeting with the wedding coordinator went great and we picked and decided on everything for the wedding and told her exactly how I wanted everything that we had brought. We also met with the minister and the DJ that morning.

After our meeting John and I went up to the lobby to start meeting guests as they arrived. Once people started arriving we went and ate lunch and then went to the beach and just chilled with alot of our friends and family as the sun was setting.

I LOVED these flip flops I got to wear around the resort and got so many compliments on them! I ordered them from an Etsy shop called Bridal Flip Flops.

And that's my tumbler from Sticky Chic Boutique!

There's the honeymoon sign on our door!

After our day at the beach we got ready and went to dinner at the Mexican restaurant, El Patio.

The food was amazing here!

Tequila shots!

After dinner we went to Desires, the "dance club"

Our koozies came free with our wedding koozie order from Totallyweddingkoozies.com

Then it was time for bed for rehearsal day!

Stay tuned for the next 8 days!! :)
