12/17/12: Portraits Before the Ceremony

The photographer captured some amazing photos in the room before we all went down to the ceremony. Since we were upgraded to the master suite it was really perfect for taking pictures before hand. We definitely took advantage of the beautiful balcony and view!! The photos she got here are some of my favorites!

{the flowers WAY exceeded my expectations. I loved them SO much!!!}

{I know the girls weren't crazy about their shoes, but they were cheap and so worth it for this picture!!}

I had emailed the photographer about a week before we left letting her know I wanted a "first look" picture but without seeing each other. She had no idea what I was talking about so I sent her a picture I found on pinterest (of course!) and we created it in our room! Our room was a perfect set up for this. There was a sliding wooden door that separated the bedroom and living area so we each just stayed on either side. It was so nice to be able to talk to John and squeeze his hand but not see each other. I highly recommend doing this if you are torn between seeing each before the ceremony!

Did you do a first look or something like this?

I did a first look and loved it... I am pretty sure I'd do it again! I love these - I've had several brides and grooms do the same thing without seeing each other. Makes for such cute pictures! And I'm LOVING your flowers and colors!

those photos are absolutely beautiful! my hubby and i didn't do anything like that. i was up in the hotel room getting ready, running late while my dad was joking with darryl saying "she decided not to come!" as he was waiting for me to walk down the aisle. my father is such a jokester, lol.

All of your time, work and planning paid off so much. You made such a beautiful bride, and this destination wedding really seems to fit y'all as a couple. I'm glad your big day was such a success!

Hi there, I'm here from Meg's Mingle Monday and as a recently newly-wed myself (December 29, 2012 so super close to your date) I had to stalk all your wedding pictures :-)

We did photos like these before our ceremony as well, our wedding planner called them "First Touch" pictures which I loved! It was such a perfect moment and I'm so glad we did it too. Your flowers are absolutely STUNNING by the way!

I blog at http://simple-sweetlife.blogspot.com/ and I'd love it you stopped by!
