Blogging Every Day in May

Can y'all believe it's already May?!

Well, I've decided to go along with this blog every day in May challenge that I saw over at Jenni's blog.  At least ATTEMPT to! I hate not blogging, so I'm hoping this will encourage me to post more! She's got a long list of topics on her blog that you can follow if you want to join in too. I will use some of her topics, but will also use some of my own and I might use some of her topics on different days :)

So today's topic is - The story of your life in 250 words or less (or in a paragraph or less).

I was born in October of 1983 in Ft. Worth, Texas. A little brother came in to my life about 4 years later. My parents got divorced when I was young and my mom remarried a few years later. We moved in to the house where I would spend my entire childhood right before I started Kindergarten. A little sister came in to my world in 1992. Elementary and Middle school where pretty uneventful and in high school I joined the band and that's where I spent the majority of my days and nights during football seasons and where I met the guy who I thought would be my husband. I graduated from high school in 2002, spent a year at TCU, then transferred to TWU in Denton, Texas. I moved to Houston in 2005 to finish nursing school (the hardest 2 years of my life), got engaged in 2006 and then graduated from nursing school and started my first big girl job in 2007. And 2 kitties, Cotton and Pixie came in to my life during these last few years as well :) October 2007 my fiance called off the engagement and I started life back on my own. March 2008 I met John and we have been living happily ever after ever since! We bought a house in 2009, adopted a cat in 2011, got engaged December of 2011 in New York City and got married December of 2012 in Cancun!

This obviously isn't my entire life, but it's my life in a nutshell - the things that I feel have shaped me the most. The things that have made me who I am today.

I think I wanna take part in this challenge! Sounds like fun! I had no idea you were previously engaged before meeting John! Love how happy you and John are together! :)

Stopped by from the link-up and realized I have been here before! I am the same with this challenge - really inspired to do it, but I'm planning on putting my own spin on things as well!
