Things that will make me defriend you on facebook

Facebook has been on my nerves like whoa lately and I've seriously considered defriending people over it! I'm sure y'all have those friends too that you just want to say, "What were you thinking posting that??"

So, here's my list of things that will add you to a defriended status! (well, maybe not really defriended, but at least hidden!)

1. Duck face selfies. Do I really need to say more? Why do I have grown women in my feed doing this?

2. Men taking shirtless pics of themselves in the mirror. No, just no.

3. Inviting me to play every single stupid game that's out there. Yes, I play candy crush, but no, I do not invite every single person on my friends list to play with me. Please stop sending the invites!

4. Sharing recipes and craft projects... This is not Pinterest people!!! Click on the link and book mark it. Don't share it for all your friends to see.

5. Sharing shit in general. I am guilty of sharing stuff but only if it's something very meaningful or I feel strongly about. Do not share every single little thing.

6. Statuses like "prayers please" or "think about me today" or "we're going through something hard." ETC. To me that shows up as attention seeking. And let's face it, I'm nosy and want to know what's going on...

7. Messaging me over and over about your latest business venture. Sorry, I'm not buying.

8. Statuses where you have to click 'read more'. Facebook is not a place to tell a story. I understand if you need to do it every once in awhile, but every day? No.

9. Updating your every movement. Yes, I have people on my feed that post at least 15 status updates a day. I'm going to the bathroom, I'm getting my hair done, I miss my boyfriend, I hate my boyfriend, I have no friends... Let's get off facebook and actually live your life!

10. Sharing your daily horoscope, bible verse, or whatever. Again, something for you to read in private.

11. Hashtags. Ok, I know facebook supports hashtags now, but people - learn how to use them.

What would you add to this list??

I am cracking up at this because this morning I read a friend on facebook's status that said "please pray for my neighbor I can hear her TV and she is watching the Grey's episode where Denny dies" ... seriously!? I mean seriously!?!?

I agree with every single one of these points!

Also, I just wanted to comment to let you know I'm breathing... and I'm going to go get breakfast... and then read more blogs... I should have posted that as a status huh?

Hahah all of these I agree on! I'm so over the oversharing. And if people post more than 3 baby pics a day I wanted tell them they need to start a blog!

Yesssss!! My pet peeve is the constant political posts. I get it-- you love/hate Obama. But I don't care.

Hilarious! I post pics of my dogs a lot but that is about it! I get tired of the people trying to sell those damn "Skinny Wraps" OMG! Love this! So true!

The "timeline ticket" explains it perfectly. I hate when people do all of those things. One to add: statuses/selfies/checkins at the gym. I don't care how much you just bench pressed or how many calories you burn. You go to the gym all the time, I get it. Grr!

The 'every meal' thing drives me crazy!

I love your list! I couldn't agree more ha ha. So many people on Facebook drive me up the wall. One thing that irks me is people who post about how much their life sucks.. over and over and over.

oh my gosh I am cracking up! I seriously get probably 15-20 game requests a DAY!!! I used to be Farmville, then it was Mafia Wars, and now Candy Crush...none of which I play. I feel like if you deny it ONCE, there should be something to prevent people from requesting you again! Ugh!! Seriously, this was so funny! I'm going to share a link to this on my blog!

OMG, you described my grandma on facebook. And I can't unfriend her. But some days, I want to...

I hate all the Facebook drama! I got rid of it almost 3 years ago and have no intentions of returning. The only thing I miss is not being able to keep up with family members.

I agree Savannah! I might be guilty of the posting too many pet pictures :-/

YES! this is why I'm rarely on facebook anymore because everyone drives me crazy!

Ohhhhhh Facebook, I love it and I hate it at the same time. It really shows you who the annoying/attention seeking people are!

I agree completely with all of this! Seeing all that junk actually drove me to deactivate my account for a few months, and you know what? My life was so much better for not being bombarded with information about who was having a coffee and who was about to go for a bath and who was having a roast chicken dinner and who was going through a terrible crisis but couldn't possibly discuss it on FB. Argh!!
