I've been in a funk lately. We haven't tried any new recipes to share, no new house projects or DIY crafts to blog about, no vacations to recap. Our life is pretty boring as of lately.
We did have a pretty fun weekend so I thought I would share what pictures I did take, even though it's not many.
Friday I spent the day at the Houston Zoo with work. Most of our clients qualify for WIC and food stamps benefits so they get in to the zoo for free. We set up a table, invite them all to come, and then they were able to take their babies and families in to the zoo for free. It was such a fun day to see all the moms and babies outside of the house and have a nice day with no visits. And the weather turned out perfectly. I wish I could show pictures of my mommies and babies, but I can't so a picture of our nurses will have to do! :) After the zoo, I stopped for my first snocone of the season! Something about gorgeous weather always makes me want a snocone.
Friday night John and I made a trip to the grocery store to get necessities for my pool day Saturday. He happened to find some very rare beer while we were there... He's been on a craft beer kick lately and apparently this type he found can't usually be found at a regular grocery store. At $11/bottle he decided to buckle his 4 pack in the seat on the way home. Yes, my husband is weird ;)
Saturday morning, I had some girlfriends come over for a day of sun, wine and relaxation. It was perfect. I can't wait to do it more often. I love that our neighborhood has a pool and there is NEVER anyone there. We were the only 4 people there the entire 4 hours we were outside. It's perfect. We drug our cooler filled with wine and snacks and had a fabulous day.
Saturday night we all went out to dinner to Yardhouse for Summer's birthday. The gorgeous weather continued so sitting outside in City Centre was a great way to spend the evening, especially with good food and friends.
Sunday was another lazy day as usual. I had alot of work to catch up on so I did that and then we went to John's parents for dinner. The cats had a lazy day too - I can't let a post go by without sharing a sleepy kitty picture! :)
